pictured above: MY FAMILY Collection.....this is "Mary's Pillow." (not available for sale). Mary's mom has passed on, but left Mary with some wonderful linens. Tiny hand embroidered (by Mary's mom) rose graces the center of the pillow. An old guest towel, with a family monogram, has been worked in to the right corner. An old white linen table cloth used for Thanksgiving dinners supplies part of the body of the pillow. This pillow is loaded with family memories and brought tears to Mary's eyes upon presentation.
When shall we design YOUR FAMILY pillow?

Backside: ring bearer's hand slips in to elaborate closure, so pillow can be held securely while being marched down the aisle. Sheer organza ribbons will hold rings securely. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SOMETHING OLD LINENS
pictured above: Kay Meckes working on your pillow!

Hi Kay, Just returned home a few hours ago after meeting you at the Itex show today. I think I was your last customer of the day. I purchased 2 beautiful pillows, two tablecloths and a few doilies. On the 2 1/2 hour drive home, I was thinking about them and couldn't wait to get home to look at them. When I arrived at home, I took out each piece and thoroughly examined them. I just wanted you to know that I am so happy and I love every single piece. The workmanship is absolutely exquisite. Just beautiful! I don't know if I am going to be able to part with any to give as Christmas gifts. I already called my grandma who said she was going to work on the water stain on the Mexican tablecloth. I am so excited to have my next tea party so I can break out some of the items I got from you. If you have a e-mail mailing list, I would like to be included. Hope we can do business again soon. God Bless, Julia

Hi Julia,
Thank you for your "praise" comments. Part of the joy of making these heirloom quality pillows is using the beautiful laces and linens our mothers and grandmothers spent hours on in their original creations. I do custom work -- using the clients' family linens -- get them out of the closets and put them on display in a new pillow design by Something Old Linens. Hope to talk to you again.....please tell your friends! Kay
